Many people try to reduce belly fat by restrictive diets or miraculous pills, which promise to burn all the undesired pounds in only few days. Unfortunately, the extra kg don't appear overnight so they won't go away just like that. It's not enough and it's not healthy to stop eating one food or another. The key in getting rid of the stomach fat is an equilibrated diet doubled by a sustained physical activity.

Here's what you have to do in order to get back your flat tummy:

• Reduce the amount of foods eaten at one meal. Eat five times a day, but smaller quantities. This way your stomach will metabolize the aliments easier and your body won't store undesired calories. If you choose starving yourself, your body will understand that you deprive it of certain foods, and it will store all the calories he receives in order to fulfill his energetic needs.

• Base your diet on foods rich in proteins and vitamins, and reduce the amount of sugars and carbohydrates you intake. I'm not saying those two categories are bad for your body, but they aren't doing you any favor when it comes to burning calories. On the other hand, proteins and vitamins help you build up muscles and you surely know stronger muscles burn more calories even when they are not working out.

• Take a walk whenever you feel bloated. Walking or easy running helps in burning out calories and getting rid of the stomach fat. Although sustained cardio training can bring better results, some people simply don't have enough time for gym workout. So for these people, a good alternative is jogging, walking or even swimming, for at least 30 minutes a day, three times a week.

• Avoid stress and don't judge yourself too hard if you eat a piece of chocolate from time to time. Stressful situations and negative thoughts make loosing the belly harder.

• Stay motivated! Even if you haven't lost too many pounds after one week of diet and exercises, this doesn't mean you won't manage to lose the stomach fat! Just be patient and follow your fats burning plan, and you'll surely manage to reduce belly fat once and for all!
